Finding a
good Driving Instructor (ADI) can be fraught with danger. As a
learner driver, you really have no idea who is good and who is
not so good. Undoubtedly the best course of action is to go to
someone by personal recommendation. If your friends were happy
with this ADI, there is a good chance you will be.
If you
really don't know anyone who can recommend someone, it's down to
pot luck and the local directories. You may like to consider the
following points:
The biggest
mistake people make when phoning up an instructor is before
anything else, they utter the immortal words "How much do you
charge"
If
you must ask this question! You really have to decide what is most
important to you. Quality or price. It boils down to the old
saying - "You pay peanuts, you get a monkey". If the
average going rate is £19 per hour, you must ask yourself why
someone is only charging £15 per hour. Is it because they are not
very good and simply can't generate business? They are certainly not
generating a reasonable profit at that price and consequently, are
they really going to give you a quality service?.
